Meet Helen Mansfield, your dedicated celebrant

I work completely independently and my loyalty is to you and your family. You have the right to choose who holds the space at your loved one's ceremony and tells their story. Whether you are planning a traditional service at a crematorium, a celebration of life at a barn, community venue or hotel or outside at a quiet woodland burial site, I am here to help you weave together their memories, humour, values and legacy in one beautiful, personal farewell.

My journey to becoming a celebrant

My path to this role is built on a lifetime of care and communication. For 10 years, I worked as an editor, honing my skills at writing and editing. Over more than two decades in the classroom, I developed a deep love for storytelling, public speaking and guiding families through different chapters. Teaching taught me how to listen between the lines, hold a room with quiet grace and organise complex, significant events flawlessly under pressure.

Beyond my professional life, my heart was shaped by by own journey as a mother of three and then a long-term caregiver, first to support my father in caring for my mother, who passed in 2010, and then for my father, supporting him through his final years and sitting with him through the reality of profound loss.

My Celebrant Training

I was fortunate to receive excellent training from the award-winning Match and Dispatch Celebrant Training. Experienced, thorough and passionate about revolutionising the funeral industry, Kate & Kate guided me through a first class, in-depth course.
